$5 – $50

Valley of the Moon Music Festival’s 7th Annual Season | Love and Longing: Reaching Across the Distance

Inspired by the human desire to connect, the chamber music of VMMF’s 7th Annual Season tells stories of separation, longing and coming together. From Clara Schumann to the American composer Harry Burleigh, the Festival will also feature a series of beautiful art songs. Their magnificent poetry perfectly expresses this year’s themes. The eight Festival concerts build to a hope-filled Finale, a concert celebrating the joy and optimism of youth and renewal.

Join us onsite at the Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma, CA or virtually to celebrate music and human connection this July 17 – August 1, 2021, with a Festival Preview concert June 24th.

About Valley of the Moon Music Festival:

Valley of the Moon Music Festival was founded in 2015 by pianist Eric Zivian and cellist Tanya Tomkins. It is the first and only festival in the U.S. devoted exclusively to presenting the chamber music of the Classical and Romantic eras, performed on original period instruments from the time the music was written.
The Festival also features our Blattner Lecture Series, offering insight into our concerts, and the Apprenticeship Program, a rare opportunity for young up-and-coming musicians to study this repertoire in depth on period instruments while playing alongside and under the direction of some of the world’s leading experts in historic performance practice.
The annual summer Festival runs in late July at the Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma. Enjoy a picnic on the patio before attending a concert, and stay for a complimentary glass of wine while mingling with the artists afterwards.
